Harwood Center Inc

Harwood Center, Inc.  is a local, Memphis-established nonprofit organization that was founded in 1957.  While Harwood Center was originally established as a school to support children with special needs, Harwood Center has adapted its programs across time to support our Memphis community and surrounding areas as much as possible.  At present, Harwood Center has a clinic on the south campus of the University of Memphis and provides Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy and Speech Therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other related disabilities.  Our mission is to enable children with special needs to reach their full potential. 

The therapy team at Harwood Center consists of Licensed and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, and Registered Behavior Technicians.  Harwood Center is focused on early intervention therapy for children 18 months to 6 years old.  Learners from 6-8 years old have the opportunity to participate in the Bridge Program allowing them to attend school-related services while continuing to receive therapy services from Harwood Center through support in the school setting as well as continued therapy services within our clinic setting. As a non-profit organization, Harwood Center relies on public support to continue to provide therapy services and support to our learners and their families.  Anyone who donates to Harwood Center becomes a partner with us and a residual part of the work that we do and the difference that we make in giving Hugs, Hope and Help to our community.
